About Miru

Miru (Japanese for "to see") is a photo gallery built for photographers who care about privacy and ownership.

We believe your photos are personal. They shouldn't be mined for data, compressed without your consent, or locked into a proprietary platform. Miru gives you complete control over your photo library, and when you do want to share, your account is a real ActivityPub actor that anyone on the fediverse can follow.

Built With

Miru is built with Elixir and Phoenix LiveView for a fast, reactive experience. We use libvips for image processing and support RAW files from major camera manufacturers.
